Awards and Accolades

We're proud to have been honoured with several awards and accolades over the years including:

Cumbria Tourism Awards 2011 Winner

cumbria tourism awards 2011 winner

Park Cliffe has beaten over 100 other holiday parks in the Lake District to take the Holiday Park of the Year accolade in the 2011 Cumbria Tourism Awards. Announced in July, it means that Park Cliffe will now go on to represent Cumbria in the national 'Enjoy England Awards' early next year. What makes the Cumbria Tourism award particularly satisfying to win was the emphasis put by judges on the quality of service provided by staff. When it was 'mystery shopped' as part of the judging process, the park's team earned glowing commendations for friendliness, caring attitude, and desire to help guests.

Cumbria in Bloom

Park Cliffe has taken part in Cumbria in Bloom for the last 4 years, and have been winners of the Cumbria Tourist Boards Rose bowl trophy on 2 occasions.  Cumbria in Bloom is a charitable organisation whose aim is the promotion, improvement and understanding of horticulture, floriculture and environmental issues for the benefit of the inhabitants of Cumbria.

The winners of the Cumbria In Bloom 2011 competition were revealed at a special presentation at the Morton Manor Community Centre on September 5th 2011.  Prize winners from all over the country converged on the venue to collect their coveted awards, including Park Cliffe’s groundsman, Roger Holmes, and park manager Tim Lovatt. Every year, Roger and the team work hard to keep the park looking “blooming” lovely for both residents and visitors. The annual competition began in the late 1980s and the tourism industry is recognized with a special Cumbria Tourist Board category.
