Race Night
£5 per person on the door – you will be given £5,000 in betting 'money', and prizes will be awarded for the most 'money' accrued on the night. Come and try your luck, with no risk to your bank balance!.

Easter Sunday 8th April

Annual Duck Race
We will be holding our annual duck race on Easter Sunday, 8th April. The first race will start at 11am; tickets for the ducks will be available from reception, and cost £1 each. The 'free style' race, where you can enter your own duck, starts at 1pm. But beware, not all ducks made it back last year, so don't get too attached to them! Entry for this race is also £1 per duck. No holds barred in this race! Park Cliffe accepts no liability for accidents or injuries incurred during these races, to people or ducks!

Alternative Dog Show
Enter your dog in a variety of classes, including scruffiest dog, cutest dog and best behaved. This promises to be a somewhat chaotic but very entertaining event! Prom sing-a-long in the bar, get into a patriotic frame of mind in the evening with our 'Last night of the proms'.

BBQ & Park Cliffe Fete
Join us for the Park Cliffe fete, with face painting, bouncy castle, tombola, and BBQ, and fancy dress competition for children on a royal theme. There will be a variety of other stalls and events, and we would be delighted if anyone has any ideas, or would like to man a stall for us.

Golf Day/Wine Tasting
The Park Cliffe Golf Challenge is open to golfers and non-golfers. Played at the unique Beckside GC near Crook, the event is now in its 6th year. An experienced golfer pairs up with a non-player. The golfer takes all shots up to the green. The non-golfer then takes over and putts for the team. Like the challenge, the golf course is very informal; it's normally in great condition and it enjoys superb views of the fells from many of the holes. Further details posted nearer the time.

Our wine tasting is an informal and fun event. You don't have to be a wine buff to enjoy it. You will be sampling 3 red and 3 white wines. Your task is to match them with the tasting notes and put them in order of price. You may have to return for a few more samples to check your results! For the children we will be holding a Crisp Quiz. Sample the crisps and guess the flavours.
