The Group was formed in 1981 by six forward thinking park owners who were committed to marketing quality in all aspects of park facilities and management.  It has now grown to its present size of 50 Parks, with approximately 8,000 pitches in total and the commitment to quality and personal service is stronger than ever.  Best of British is still run by park owners on a voluntary basis, with the current Board of Directors having more than 99 years experience in the industry in total.

As a premier brand, Best of British requires prospective parks seeking membership to be visited by a Director; this is to ensure that the park, its facilities and its customer service style dovetail with the quality and service ethos at the heart of the Group. 
 
Member parks pride themselves on offering visitors that little bit extra – ‘almost a sixth star’ is how some of them describe it – and many first-time visitors convert into committed customers of Best of British parks as they are confident with the quality that is the hallmark of the group’s  UK-wide portfolio of parks.

Further afield, Best of British enjoys international links with like-minded park groups – with two organisations in Europe – Les Castels in France and Holland  Tulip Parcs in the Netherlands – as well as with Big 4 Holiday Parks of Australia and Top 10 Holiday Parks of New Zealand.
