There is parking for 1 car at the rear of the property and EV chargers are available within the grounds of the holiday park.

Dogs are allowed in certain static caravans (max 2) at an extra charge of £40 per booking and strictly on a pre booked basis (no dangerous breeds). We do accommodate campers and tourers. We have private owners too with 46 holiday caravans and 9 holiday lodges but that section of the park is completely separate.
We welcome well trained dogs that must be kept on a lead when on the park, but we reserve the right to refuse certain breeds. We have a dog friendly room ‘Cannine Corner’ in the bar/restaurant and we have a lovely outdoor terrace area where your canine friends are more than welcome.
We have free Wi-Fi throughout the park. The service we offer will not be what you might expect in your own home, not least because you are sharing a limited bandwidth with multiple fellow caravanners and campers on site. As a consequence we can offer the service for basic web surfing and emails but during times of high demand will not be able to support any video or TV streaming for example BBC iPlayer and YouTube. We ask you to limit your use of these services, uploads, updates or photos during busy periods as this will prevent others from accessing...
We have both electric and non electric camping area. Our non electric camping area is located on ‘Fellside’ and is not allocated. Tent pitches with electric hook up are allocated. We have a 6amp electric hook up on’ Ghyllside’.
We have TV screens in the bar and will show matches which are available on normal TV channels.
For the safety and comfort of guests, the maximum occupancy is 4 people for our 2 bedroom caravans and 6 people for our 3 bedroom caravan.

We do not have a storage facility, but out of the main season you can leave your van unoccupied during the week for £7 per night, and just pay full price at the weekends, subject to availability. Maximum stay 2 weeks. We also offer a limited number of full seasonal pitches and for shorter stays have special monthly rates (not applicable June/July/August).
Yes, it is possible to swim in Bassenthwaite. It’s much quieter than neighbouring lakes thanks to motorised craft (except electric vessels) being banned.

There is no lake access nearby, as the land is privately owned. We do not recommend that you walk along the A592 as it is very busy, and there is no pavement for much of it. We do have a walk that takes you to Bowness on footpaths, which takes 2 hours. More information is available about this walk in our reception.

No, Keswick does not have a castle - however, that is not to be confused with ‘Castle Crag’ which is a fantastic circular walk up through old slate mines.
Rydal Water is 1.18km long and 350m wide.
We highly recommend starting a day in Keswick, by exploring the local countryside by going for a walk across Skiddaw Mountain.
Our non electric ‘Fellside’ camping area is not allocated. Pitch up where you like on ‘Fellside’, leaving a minimum of 3 meters between you and the next tent.
The distance between Keswick and Windermere is 18 miles. This journey approximately takes forty minutes by car.
Rydal Water is 6.9 miles from Windermere, taking roughly fifteen minutes to travel by car.
You can walk for eight miles around the lake in Keswick.
Due to the position of the park, with hills around us, TV reception can be variable, especially when it is windy. We have gone digital. Use of a directional aerial is advised.
New customers are issued with a licence agreement allowing you to keep a caravan on its pitch at Park Cliffe until it is 15 years old (25-30yrs old for a lodge) subject to the licence agreement conditions and park rules.
Coniston Water is the third largest lake in the Lake District. It is 5 miles long by just under half a mile wide. It is 184ft at its deepest point.
Rydal Water is 1.18km long. As one of the most beautiful walks in the Lake District, we recommend taking a circular walk which leads you around Rydal Water to Grasmere Lake.
Wastwater is 3 miles long and half a mile wide. It's also the deepest lake in England, with a maximum depth of 260 feet.
Bassenthwaite is approximately 4 miles long. Unlike many of the lakes in the Lake District there is not a circular footpath around Bassenthwaite. You will need to walk it in smaller sections.

The West Shore walk there are two variations: a 4-mile route and the full length 8-mile route.

This has all the same facilities as the private bathrooms, and also has a baby bath. This is available for 45 minutes per booking, for a £10 returnable key deposit. We just ask that you clean it after use, leaving it in the same condition as you would wish to find it. Available during reception opening hours.

To hook up to our electric you will need an outdoor leisure lead. These are available from any good outdoor supplier. An ordinary extension lead will not work!
We provide duvets, pillows, bed linen, tea towel, dishcloth, washing up liquid. We even provide a small starter pack of teabags, coffee, sugar, a pint of milk and a packet of biscuits for when you arrive. You just need to bring yourselves, a set of towels and any waterproof mattress protectors for children you may need.
Bed linen is provided in our shepherds hut - you will just need to bring your own towels.
We have a bar, restaurant, pop up food trailers, shop, games room, and a children’s play area. We also have beautiful landscaped grounds complimented with lots of peace and quiet.

Keswick is best known for its stunning location as it is situated between the Skiddaw and Blencathra mountains and near the lake of Derwent Water. Many people visit Keswick to go hiking and cycling or to enjoy some watersports on the nearby lakes.
Windermere Lake is famous for being the largest natural lake in the UK.
If our directions to Park Cliffe are followed, there is no problem. Please do not follow sat nav, as it routes you along some quite narrow back roads. If approaching from the north (from Bowness) you will have to go past our road end and turn round elsewhere, as it is a sharp, switch back turning.
Dog friendly Couple’s Pods are a little smaller than the standard pods but plenty of room for 2 persons, vinyl flooring, heater and light. These pods are situated on the Fellside camping area. Overall size 2.33m x 1.91m, Dog friendly Park Cliffe Pods have plenty of head room with a floor area of 2.1mx 2.7m providing ample space for 2 adults and 1 child and 1 dog. The Shepherds Hut sleeps 2 people on a double bed. There is also a sofa and table.
We would ideally like arrivals before 9pm (6pm in low season), but appreciate that traffic can be bad, especially at weekends. However, there is no access after 11pm, as the gates are locked then to try to ensure a peaceful night for all.
We ask for quiet between 11pm and 7.30am and no excessive noise at any time. Please respect other campers who may be trying to sleep. We are a family site and will not tolerate anti-social behaviour or language. Anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to leave, and no refunds will be given.
Bassenthwaite is home to a variety of species. You can hope to catch perch, pike, roach and rainbow trout.
In Haweswater Reservoir you can expect to find Brown Trout, with an average size of 10-12 inches.
There are some magnificent mountains around Wastwater, including Scafell Pike, Great Gable, Red Pike and Kirk Fell

Rydal Water is in the centre of the Lake District here in Cumbria. With shallow and warm waters, it is no wonder that it is popular amongst fishers and swimmers.
Bardsea Leisure, at Ulverston, is the closest and around 13 miles from the park. It has an extensive range of accessories.
The closest village to Wastwater is Wasdale Head, which is a short walk away.
The southern points of Rydal Water are owned by The National Trust. The northern parts of the lake have restricted access as it is privately owned by Rydall Hall.
Coniston Water is one of the largest lakes in the Lake District. It sits at the base of The Old Man of Coniston and boasts beautiful scenery of the surrounding fells.
