We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming thousands of guests to our Lake District holiday park this year. After such a difficult 18 months, it’s been fantastic to have people back on site enjoying our accommodation, facilities and all the Lake District has to offer.
As the busy season draws to an end, we’ve taken some time to compile a small selection of our online reviews. They celebrate our re-opening and praise our hard working team who have worked tirelessly throughout the summer.
Our touring pitches have been put to good use this year, with plenty of caravan, motorhome and campervan visitors enjoying a Lake District holiday over the course of the season. It’s been wonderful to see families spending quality time together on park, while enjoying a well-earned break after such a difficult year.
Touring visitors have praised our generous pitch size, park layout and proactive approach to stopping the spread of Covid-19 in their online reviews. They’ve also commended our hard-standing pitch facilities, which include electric, water and parking as standard.

Park Cliffe is considered one of the best campsites in the Lake District thanks to our scenic tent pitches. From our camping ground, guests can enjoy far-reaching views over Windermere and stunning sunsets as the sun dips behind the fells.
We have two campsites to choose from – each with a slightly different offering. Ghyllside has electric hook up and requires pitches to be reserved in advance, whereas Fellside takes a more relaxed approach, allowing you to choose your camping spot on arrival.
Both receive rave reviews from our guests, with many returning to make the most of our idyllic location year on year. Guests with children have praised by the space on offer and visitors with dogs are impressed by access to scenic walks.

At Park Cliffe we go to great lengths to meet our customers’ expectations. Over the past couple of years there’s been increasing demand for glamping accommodation in the Lake District, so we’ve expanded our offering to include camping pods and a handcrafted shepherd’s hut.
This year we unveiled the Deluxe Camping Pod – our most luxurious glamping option yet. Complete with a bathroom, kitchenette and stargazing windows, it’s been a fantastic addition to our self-catering accommodation and a roaring success as you’d expect.
Glamping is a fantastic option for couples and families wanted to spend time in nature without the hassle of putting up a tent. Guests really enjoy the experience and have given lovely feedback on the cosy and clean interiors.

Our modern well-equipped holiday cottage was put to good use this year, with plenty of families using it as a base from which to explore the lakes. The holiday cottage has been a real hit with families, who have complimented the luxury interior and submitted glowing reviews post stay.
The cottage is set in scenic grounds and available for week long stays and short breaks in low season. It is furnished to a high standard with homely soft furnishings and home comforts such as books and children’s games.
Best of all, guests have access to Park Cliffe facilities, which include a children’s play area and delicious bar and restaurant, just a short walk away.

We’ve received some lovely reviews from guests staying in our 2 and 3 bed static caravans this summer. These well-equipped holiday homes are an excellent choice for visitors wanting a relaxing base to unwind during a Lake District holiday. They each have a patio area with picnic bench to dine alfresco in the summer months. As you’ll see from the reviews they’re perfect for couples or families with children.

We’re privileged to have some of the best staff in the business who go above and beyond to ensure visitors have an enjoyable stay. Our close-knit team have years of experience under their belt and deliver top class customer service at every opportunity.
On arrival visitors are met with a smile by one of our receptionists, which visitors tell us is a welcome sight after a long journey. Touring guests are personally shown to their pitch and our wardens will give a friendly wave as they make their checks around the park. Many of our team have had personal mentions in our online reviews this season, praising their friendly and welcoming demeanour.

Plenty of guests have made use of our on-site restaurant and visiting street food vans this year. The feedback has been excellent and visitors have enjoyed being able to treat themselves to a tasty meal without the hassle of travelling off site.
There’s been plenty of options to choose from and a variety of cuisines on offer. If the reviews are anything to go, by the Mexican menu was a real hit!

Park Cliffe is situated in an idyllic location overlooking Windermere. Our camping and caravan site occupies 25 acres of Lake Land countryside and offers visitors breath taking views throughout the site. Keen hikers can enjoy plentiful walks to nearby beauty spots including Moor How and Gummers How. Some of the Lake District’s best loved attractions are just a short drive away and there is a bus stop at the end of the lane for guests wanting to explore without a car.
Our convenient location is mentioned in plenty of our online reviews. Visitors have applauded the stunning scenery and easy access to amazing walks, towns, restaurants and attractions.

Our groundskeeping staff work hard to maintain Park Cliffe throughout the year. They work tirelessly to create a pleasant environment and ensure the park is always spotlessly clean. Our 5 star rating is testament to their ongoing efforts and commitment to providing guests with a memorable holiday experience. Keeping Park Cliffe looking its best is a group effort, so we’re incredibly proud to have such a dedicated team.
Every season we reinvest in our accommodation and facilities to make sure there’s always something new for returning guests. We’re always innovating and looking for ways to expand our offering further.

We know dogs are an important part of the family that’s why we welcome them with open arms at Park Cliffe. Our dog friendly holiday park is one of the best in the Lake District, with plenty of dog friendly accommodation to choose from.
Dogs are permitted on all of our touring and camping pitches and in a selection of self-catering units. There are a number of scenic walks accessible from our grounds and plenty of dog friendly pubs and restaurants nearby.
As you’ll see from our online reviews, four-legged friends are well received by the Park Cliffe team. Our friendly staff are big dog lovers and will no doubt ask to give your dog a fuss as they walk by!
