We would like to extend a huge thank you to all our customers who continued to donate to the Cumbria Wildlife Trust when booking their holidays.
We are delighted to announce that the lockdown has failed to frustrate our annual fundraising efforts. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all our customers who continued to donate. They did this whilst booking stays online on our park located near the shores of Lake Windermere.
It means that we’re now able to hand over £544.00 to the Cumbria Wildlife Trust, our most recent designated good cause.
Park owner Susan Dickson said
We usually run a series of fundraising events each year – such as treasure hunts, raffles and quizzes – which are supported both by guests and local businesses. But the pandemic put a stop to all that in 2020. All we were left with were the voluntary donations made by customers when they book online. As the park was closed for many weeks last year, we didn’t have very high hopes that this would amount to much. But we were wrong! When we had a count-up recently, we were thrilled to see that the total came to over five hundred pounds, And donations are still coming in through the current lockdown. We’ve now decided to continue raising cash for Cumbria Wildlife Trust throughout 2021. Hopefully our usual events programme will be able to go ahead.

Susan added that visitors staying at the park were regularly willing to put their hands in their pockets. They always give generously to a good cause.
The Cumbria Wildlife Trust has proved especially popular. Susan thinks is because many guests choose Park Cliffe for its location in unspoiled Lakeland countryside.
Our park itself is a champion of the natural world. This year we were presented with the David Bellamy Conservation Award. This was for our many initiatives to protect the surrounding flora and fauna.
But don’t just take our word for it, come and see for yourself! We provide static caravans to hire, holiday homes for sale, glamping and cottage accommodation, and pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.
