Bowness Escape Rooms are the ultimate indoor activity to try during your holiday in the Lake District. Put your communication and logic skills to the test as you crack codes, solve puzzles and find the clues needed to escape!

Lake District escape rooms

There are two escape rooms on offer – ‘Down to the Wire’ and the ‘Cutting Room’. Both of which offer a unique yet challenging experience to try whilst staying at Park Cliffe.

The more difficult of the two rooms, ‘Down to the Wire’ is set in the Cold War and allows you take on the role of a Russian Spy. In this make believe world, the Russian Intelligence Force has received a tip off about your undercover work. You must escape and protect with all of your findings in tact!

The second and slightly easier room, the ‘Cutting Room’ requires you to escape capture. As an investigative journalist you must unmask the true identity of a notorious criminal and save yourself!

There are no live characters in either of the rooms but you’re guaranteed some surprises along the way. The ‘Cutting Room’ has a less scary option, which you can request at the time of booking.

Fun activity with friends

Whether you’re looking to try something new or seeking a rainy day activity in The Lakes, there is plenty of fun to be had at Bowness Escape Rooms. Both of the rooms take up to an hour to complete and can accommodate up to 6 players. The rooms are largely aimed at older children (age 10+) and adults, although younger children can participate at their parents discretion. Chidden under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

There are pre escape room games and puzzles to enjoy on arrival.
