Park Cliffe takes centre stage at the Cumbria Tourism Awards
We’re delighted to announce that Park Cliffe was named The Lake District’s top holiday park for 2025 at the recent Cumbria Tourism Awards ceremony. Judges praised our high standards of customer excellence at the glittering event. We will now be fast-tracked into the national VisitEngland awards later in the year.
Stepping up to receive the judges’ congratulations was Jack Dickson who collected the trophy on behalf of our owners Susan and Derek Dickson.
The couple have owned Park Cliffe for the past 16 years, drawing visitors from across the UK and overseas to our spectacular location overlooking Windermere.
Set in 25 acres of countryside framed by a backdrop of mountains and lakes, Park Cliffe provides holiday homes to rent and own, glamping facilities, plus camping and touring pitches.
The Cumbria Tourism Award adds to many accolades received over the years not just for our quality standards, but also our commitment to the principles of sustainability.
Recent initiatives include the opening of a solar array project generating green energy for the park and saving 21 tonnes of carbon from entering the atmosphere each year.
Susan Dickson says the Cumbria Tourism award was perfectly timed for the start of the main summer season, and she paid tribute to the wider Park Cliffe team:
“Finalists for these awards are put under close scrutiny by judges, including a “secret shopper” visit, and they are looking not just at how well we maintain our facilities,” “Their focus is also on the type of experience we provide to guests, including the warmth of welcome and the hospitality and friendliness which visitors encounter. “Responsibility for this is very much in the hands of our team members, and they are as determined as we are to create the best possible memories for couples and families”.

We couldn’t be happier with the result and are looking forward to the upcoming VisitEngland awards. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
