Book a stay with us and enjoy unrivalled views of Lake Windermere from your own tent camping pitch. We are the only park to provide camping with tents on the eastern side of Lake Windermere. Meaning on a fine evening you can enjoy the full splendor of a Lake District sun set as it sinks below the fells.
Our Ghyllside camping area, allows you to reserve your pitch, with electrical hook-up (6amps). This area is across a minor lane from the main park. These pitches are allocated by size, therefore we need to know the size of your tent in metres (including any porch), when making a booking.
Please note gazebos, event shelters and similar structures are not permitted on Ghyllside.
Ghyllside camping area is more suitable for larger tents. Pitches here have a 6amp electric supply which is suitable for lighting, recharging devices and providing supplies to small appliances such as a travel kettle (750w). This is not suitable for providing a heating supply in a tent. If you prefer more comfort why not try one of our camping pods!
