Park Cliffe Windermere Camping and Caravan Park (Park Cliffe) is operated by The Caravan Club Ltd trading as the Caravan and Motorhome Club (the Club, we, us). As such, the Club is the Data Controller for all personal information collected via this website and on-site. We are a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales under company number 646027. 2. Information we collect and how we use it

As we gradually transition Park Cliffe to the Club’s central administration, we will continue to collect the same types of information necessary to facilitate your stay. This includes:

  • Booking details: Collecting your name, contact information, vehicle registration, and party size to fulfil your holiday contract. We also process account details so that you can log in to the guest area of our website to view and administer your booking.
  • CCTV: For the safety of our guests and workers, CCTV is in operation at Park Cliffe.
  • Electronic marketing: If you sign up for email updates we collect your name and email address so we can send the updates.
  • Membership: If you are a Club member, we may process your membership details to apply discounted rates for your booking and check you are a member when you arrive.
  • Payments: All payments are processed through secure payment providers. The Club is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is the international standard for secure credit and debit card payment processes and means that when you pay for goods or services from the Club using a debit or credit card, the relevant technical and operational security requirements are in place to protect the cardholder data.
  • Caravan Holiday Home Licence Holders: If you have a Caravan Holiday Home with a Licence Agreement for a pitch at Park Cliffe, we collect and process certain personal data such as name and contact information, proof of main residence, caravan details, finance provider (if applicable) and payment details in order to manage your Licence Agreement.

3. How we collect your information

We usually collect your information directly from you, for example when you make a booking to stay at Park Cliffe or sign up for email updates on this website.

The Club took over operation of Park Cliffe on 6th February 2026. If you had made a booking(s) before that date for a stay at Park Cliffe after that date then we received your booking details from the previous operator, Park Cliffe Ltd. If you are a Caravan Holiday Home Licence Holder details of your Licence Agreement have been transferred to the Club from Park Cliffe Ltd. This is so that your booking(s) or Licence Agreement can be honoured by the Club. Where a booking(s) or Licence Agreement requires consent or novation to be fully transferred, we are processing your information to manage the transition of those contractual benefits from Park Cliffe Ltd to the Club.

4. Marketing and preferences:

You will only receive electronic marketing updates, news, and special offers regarding Park Cliffe and the wider Club network if you provide consent. You can give your consent by using the signup form on this website. If you do, we will send you updates, news and special offers about Park Cliffe, other services and products offered by the Club and carefully selected third-party partners.

To stop receiving electronic marketing from Park Cliffe, you can unsubscribe by clicking the link in any of the marketing messages or by contacting the team on 015395 31344, or writing to us info@parkcliffe.co.uk or Park Cliffe Windermere Camping and Caravan Park, Birks Road, Windermere, Cumbria, LA23 3PG. If you had previously consented to receive electronic marketing about Park Cliffe before the Club took over then you will need to provide consent again if you would like to receive future electronic marketing.

If you are already a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, we will continue to communicate with you based on any preferences you have set in your Club profile.

Once we have all the information necessary to respond to your request and have confirmed your identity, we’ll locate your information and manage your request without undue delay and in any event within one calendar month. Note that this timeframe may be extended by two further months if your request is particularly complex or there is a large volume of requests.
