We have beaten hundreds of other firms to be shortlisted for the May 2023 awards!

We are excited to announce that Park Cliffe Holiday Park has reached the finals of a major enterprise award! Our Windermere park has beaten hundreds of other eligible firms to reach the last stages of the North West Family Business Awards 2023. Now we must wait until 19th May to discover if we have taken a top spot in the annual competition to celebrate the region’s most dynamic and entrepreneurial families. We are competing in the leisure and tourism small business category of the contest.

We are both proud and humbled to be included among the short-list of contenders for the award. Park Cliffe must now undergo a rigorous inspection by competition judges over the coming weeks before their verdict is announced.

We took over Park Cliffe 15 years ago, and have since invested much time and energy into ensuring that it provides top quality facilities and service. Our reward has been to see an annual growth in visitor numbers from the UK and overseas, and a top five-star excellence rating from VisitBritain.

We have also achieved a number of environmental awards for our many initiatives to protect wildlife and care for the natural world, and for our sustainability policies.

The North West Family Business Awards are organised by The Family Business Community which brings family firms together to share experiences and help them continue to grow.

Awards ceremony

May’s glittering awards ceremony will be held at the Concorde Conference Centre near Manchester Airport, and co-hosted by renowned food and drink broadcaster and writer Nigel Barden.

It’s a great honour to be included among the finalists in these awards, and we know we were up against a lot of stiff competition to make the short list. The awards are especially important to us as they focus not just on what the business does, but also the quality of the service it provides to customers. Delivering this is very much in the hands of our park team, so they must also share in the credit of getting Park Cliffe where it is today.
