Cliffhanger Rooms have been ranked the number 1 escape rooms in Cumbria and worthy winners of the Best New Tourism Business Award. This interesting indoor activity is ideal for spending quality with your friends and family whilst trying something fun and unique. When the weather’s taken a turn for the worst this indoor activity is the ideal place to shelter from the rain! Cliffhanger rooms is one of our favourite wet weather activities in the Lake District.

Throughout the course of the session, participants have to work together to complete a series of riddles and puzzles using a combination of logic, trial and error and thinking ‘outside the box’. There are a number of challenges to complete within the time limit in order to escape the room.

Award-winning escape rooms

Cliffhanger rooms are an independent company, which means the escape rooms are unique and will not be found else where. There are three rooms on offer – ‘The Haunted Pirate Ship’, ‘The Bank Vault Heist’ and ‘Vlad the Vampire’. In ‘The Haunted Pirate Ship’ room you must locate the missing treasure hid on Blackbeard’s ship, to buy your freedom and lay the pirates ghost to rest. The second room requires you to ‘break into’ a vault at the Hatton Garden Safe. In the final room you must help ‘Vlad’ the vegan vampire compete the challenges needed to impress his elders and steal the longed for medallion.

Each room can accommodate 2 to 6 people. It is possible to book all three rooms for larger groups to be played at the same time should you wish.
