About Graythwaite Adventure

There are a range of fantastic outdoor adventure activities on offer at Graythwaite Adventure, including 4×4 off road driving, archery, bushcraft, canoeing, clay pigeon shooting, stand up paddle boarding and more! All of these exciting activities take place on the Graythwaite Estate, a private 5,000 acre site on the shores of Lake Windermere, comprising of ancient woodland, picturesque parkland and sheltered bays.

Off road driving experience

The estate is home to The Lakes only purpose built off road driving coarse, giving visitors the chance to put their driving skills to the test! Drive a Land Rover Defender along winding tracks and teeter on hills as you master the art of this unique driving style.

Watersports activities

For Park Cliffe guests who prefer to spend their time on the water, why not give Graythwaite Adventure’s water based activities a go? Whether you take an adrenaline fuelled trip on a Lake Windermere rib ride or a more leisurely saunter on a kayak, canoe or standup paddle board, your guaranteed a wonderful time and the opportunity to view the stunning scenery from the water.

Spend time in nature

Other interesting activities on offer include clay pigeon shooting, bushcraft and axe throwing! In these sessions you will learn the necessary survival skills to thrive in the wilderness and will gain a greater understanding of nature and the great outdoors.

Fantastic fun for all the family

The activities are lead by an experienced and dedicated team of instructors, who strive to create lasting holiday memories for groups visiting The Lakes. They will work with you to hone your existing skills or teach you the basics if it’s your first time. Activities can be booked separately or combined to create a whole day experience. There are also plenty of unique experience packages on offer if you’re looking for something really special!
