These are the same size as the Family Pods but have 2 single beds and 2 single fold out foam mats, accommodating up to 4 people. The Pods have interior lighting, outside light, carpet at the rear where the 2 fold out mats are and vinyl flooring to the front where the single beds are. Underfloor heating and a double socket.
2020 bookings July – December a £10/nt supplement will be added to the cost of a Family Plus Camping Pod booking for private bathroom facilities. These are a short walk away, accessed via stairs. Communal facilities will not be available.

Dogs are allowed in certain static caravans at an extra charge of £40 per booking and strictly on a pre booked basis (no dangerous breeds). Please bring your own blanket for your dog as we cannot permit them to lie upon the bedding or upholstery.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and exercised in the designated areas. Although we don’t allow dogs in the bar/restaurant, we do have a lovely outdoor terrace area where the dogs are more than welcome.
We do accommodate campers and tourers. We have private owners too with 46 holiday caravans and 9 holiday lodges but that section of the park is completely separate.
No. For the safety and comfort of guests, the maximum occupancy is 4 people.
2020 we also have 2 x one bedroom semi detached lodges for rental, these sleep max 2 people.
We welcome well trained dogs that must be kept on a lead when on the park, but we reserve the right to refuse certain breeds. Although we don’t allow dogs in the bar/restaurant area, we do have a lovely outdoor terrace area where your canine friends are more than welcome.
We have free Wi-Fi throughout the park. The service we offer will not be what you might expect in your own home, not least because you are sharing a limited bandwidth with multiple fellow caravanners and campers on site. As a consequence we can offer the service for basic web surfing and emails but during times of high demand will not be able to support any video or TV streaming for example BBC iPlayer and YouTube. We ask you to limit your use of these services, uploads, updates or photos during busy periods as this will prevent others from accessing the Wi-Fi network.
We have both electric and non electric camping area. Our non electric camping area is located on ‘Fellside’ and is not allocated. Tent pitches with electric hook up are allocated.
We have a 6amp electric hook up on’ Ghyllside’. Booking is essential for these areas and needs to be booked over the phone as we require your tent size (in meters). A 6amp electric supply is suitable for lighting, recharging devices and providing supplies to small appliances such as a travel kettle (750w).
Summer/Autumn 2020 – we currently offer a take-away menu Friday, Saturday and Sundays evening giving you the opportunity to enjoy your food at a secluded spot on the park or back at your pitch, caravan or camping pod.
Takeaway is only available during restaurant opening times, phone orders and collection only.

We are accepting booking for tourers and motorhomes from 24th July 2020 onwards providing customers are able to make use of their own toilet and shower facilities as our communal toilet and shower facilities remain closed at this time (min 3 nts stay in the summer holidays). No. You are restricted to using it for holiday or recreational purposes. If you were to live permanently in your holiday home, this would be in breach of the site licence and pitch licence agreement with serious legal consequence.
Yes, there is allocated parking for 1 car next to the Shepherds Hut. If you are bringing more than one car, the second should be parked in the car park next to reception. Any commercial vehicles must be parked in the car park.

2021 – The restaurant does not taken bookings. However, if you are a large group wanting to eat at the restaurant, please let us know on the day and we will keep some tables aside for you, subject to availability.
Immediate family and close, personal friends are all welcome to use your holiday home. We do not allow the commercial letting out of caravans or lodges on the park.
We do not have a storage facility, but out of the main season you can leave your van unoccupied during the week for £7 per night, and just pay full price at the weekends, subject to availability. Maximum stay 2 weeks. We also offer a limited number of full seasonal pitches and for shorter stays have special monthly rates (not applicable June/July/August).
There is no lake access nearby, as the land is privately owned. We do not recommend that you walk along the A592 as it is very busy, and there is no pavement for much of it. We do have a walk that takes you to Bowness on footpaths, which takes 2 hours. More information is available about this walk in our reception.

No, the showers are free of charge and are open all the time.
Yes, we use the standard contract produced by our trade association, the BH&HPA, and the NCC (National Caravan Council). This agreement is the contract that will be made between you and the park and it includes your right to keep the holiday home on the park for a given period of years and the times during which you can use your unit. Copies are available on request.
No, you will be shown our caravans by the Park Manager or one of the Park Wardens. We are only there to advise you on the Parks facilities and the various models of caravans available. We strongly believe that the final decision should be yours to make without any pressure and in your own time. Some of our customers make several visits to the park before deciding on the right pitch and the right caravan, this is absolutely fine with us.
We have full seasonal pitches; please ask the office for availability. Our season is March to mid November.
We also have a limited number of part seasonal pitches in 2020 from July (TBC) to 8th November.
No, we occasionally have good second hand caravans in a range of prices. Sadly we can’t predict what second hand caravans we will have at any time, but if you are looking for a caravan with specific features or within a particular price range we will happily take your details and call you when a suitable caravan becomes available.

You can keep your caravan at Park Cliffe until it is 12 years old (25-30yrs old for a lodge) subject to the licence agreement and park rules.

If you were seriously thinking of owning a caravan or lodge for just one year, we would advise you not to go ahead as caravans and lodges are similar to cars in that they do depreciate and the first year is the worst. After that, it really depends on how well you look after it and the state of the economy.
Yes, there is a 6amp supply. Pods come with lighting and a small heater.
Pods are not suitable for cooking in, which must be done outside. Please use the gravel area outside for your BBQ’s, NOT THE DECK. Each pod comes with a BBQ stand.

Yes, the restaurant is suitable for all ages. Enjoy a frame or two of pool with the family on our pool table. We also have a whole host of board games and colouring sheets available which you are welcome to use for free.

Yes, the Shepherds Hut has underfloor heating, lighting and plug sockets for phone charging.
Although the reception is open for a lot of the time, it is well worth phoning beforehand to make sure that someone will be available to help you.

2021 – This has all the same facilities as the private bathrooms, and also has a baby bath. This is available for 45 minutes per booking, for a £10 returnable deposit. We just ask that you clean it after use, leaving it in the same condition as you would wish to find it.

All our touring pitches are gravel hard standing with their own electric, water and drainage.
You need an outdoor leisure lead. These are available from any good outdoor supplier. An ordinary extension lead will not work!
We provide duvets, pillows, bed linen, tea towel, dishcloth, washing up liquid. We even provide a small starter pack of teabags, coffee, sugar, a pint of milk and a packet of biscuits for when you arrive.
You just need to bring yourselves and a set of towels.
Bed linen is provided- you will just need to bring your own towels.
We have a bar, restaurant, shop, games room, and a children’s play area. We also have beautiful landscaped grounds complimented with lots of peace and quiet. We don’t have a swimming pool, but there are local hotels that offer this facility which we can recommend.
Not all facilities will be open in 2020 due to COVID-19. Please check with Reception if any are important to your stay prior to booking.
If we can no longer offer your 2020 holiday because of Government restrictions or we need to cancel your booking the following options are available:

The vehicle will have to be parked outside the gates (ask at reception, and we will show you where).
If our directions to Park Cliffe are followed, there is no problem. Please do not follow sat nav, as it routes you along some quite narrow back roads. If approaching from the north (from Bowness) you will have to go past our road end and turn round elsewhere, as it is a sharp, switch back turning.
Standard pods have plenty of head room with a floor area of 2.1mx 2.7m providing ample space for 2 adults and even 1-2 small children. The standard pods are dog friendly.
The Family pod has a floor area of 2.3mx 3.5m providing ample space for 2 adults and 3 children or 4 adults.
Both the standard and family pods do not have beds- the use of airbeds is recommended. A small heater and lamp is included.
The Family plus pods are the same size as the family pods but have 2 single beds with foam mattresses and 2 fold out foam mattresses, accommodating 4 people. The family plus pods come with underfloor heading and lighting. Please note, linen is not provided.
Premier pods provide ample space for 2 adults and 3 children. They are spacious inside, with a double bed, a set of bunk beds (complete with 4” camping mats) and a rollaway trundle bed. Overall size is 4.35m x 2.8m. There is a hanging rail for clothes (please bring hangers).
Couple’s pods are a little smaller than the standard pods but plenty of room for 2 persons, carpeted floor, heater and light. These pods are situated on the Fellside camping area.
The Shepherds Hut sleeps 2 people on a double bed. There is also a sofa and table.
Underfloor heating will keep you warm and cosy, even on the coolest of days, and when the sun shines you can enjoy the views from balcony seating area.
The hand-crafted kitchenette houses a Butlers sink, small fridge/ice box, microwave, kettle and toaster with small amounts of crockery and cutlery.
There are no shower or toilet facilities in the Shepherds hut but toilet and shower facilities are just a short walk away.
The pet free cottage sleeps up to 4 people with a king size master bedroom and adjacent family bathroom upstairs, and 2 ground floor single bedrooms with en-suite shower & toilet. All linen and towels are provided.
The contemporary fully equipped kitchen (including washing machine and dishwasher) is open plan with dining and lounge area.
The cottage is equipped with underfloor heating, wood burner, Wi-Fi, and a Smart TV. There is a large garden to the rear with outdoor furniture, and shared parking for 2 cars at the front.
A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
2020 Summer/Autumn – please arrange to arrive prior to 6pm Sunday to Thursday, prior to 9pm Friday and Saturday. If you are arriving later please contact Reception to arrange.
2021 We would ideally like arrivals before 9pm, but appreciate that traffic can be bad, especially at weekends. However, there is no access after 11pm, as the gates are locked then to try to ensure a peaceful night for all.
We ask for quiet between 11pm and 7.30am. Please respect other campers who may be trying to sleep. We are a family site and will not tolerate anti-social behaviour or language. Anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to leave, and no refunds will be given.
Vodafone is the only reliable network.
All of the touring pitches come with 10amp electric supply.
We have restricted the park occupancy to better manage social distancing.
Our communal toilet and shower blocks remain closed. Private bathroom facilities can be booked with camping pods, and bookings will only be accepted from tourers with their own facilities.
Our bar and restaurant service is restricted to takeaways only and our shop is open for specific times via an external serving hatch.
The pot wash area has only alternate sinks available to ensure social distancing can be maintained.
Hand sanitiser is available around the park, along with reminders for guests to regularly wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
We ask that all guests and staff respect the 2m social distancing guidelines at all times, including young children.
Increasing the frequency of cleaning and regularly disinfecting key touch points.
A fogging machine will sanitise the rental accommodation prior to cleaning between bookings.

The current Government guidance is for everyone to maintain social distancing with those outside your own household. For this reason, we can only accept bookings from one household group for each caravan, cottage or pod. We will review this policy if and when the guidance changes.
